Kelechi Iheanacho Reaches Top Three In Man City Goal Of The Season Poll
Published: August 06, 2015Flying Eagles attacking midfielder Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike against Manchester United in the Under 21 Premier League came third in the Nissan Goal of the Season poll.
Manchester City Women’s star Toni Duggan picked up the accolade on Wednesday night for her volley against Chelsea Ladies in October 2014.
France international Samir Nasri’s strike against Roma in the Champions League was the second most eye-catching goal last season as voted for by the fans.
“Youngster Kelechi Iheanacho came third for his sublime effort against United for the EDS,” Manchester City said on their official website.
“The 18-year-old, who is looking to force his way into the first team reckoning this season, beat two defenders before showcasing great composure to finish.”
Kelechi Iheanacho is in line to make his official debut for the Citizens against Brown Ideye’s West Brom, with the club confirming on Wednesday that he has been promoted to the first team.
