Abiola Dauda Off The Mark For Vitesse In New Season

Abiola Dauda opened his goalscoring account for the new season in Vitesse’s 3 - 0 win over Roda in the second round of matches in the Eredivisie on Friday night.
For the first time since December 7, 2014, the Swedish - Nigerian forward was named in his team’s starting XI and he repaid the manager’s faith by scoring in the 68th minute, his first goal in the league since he struck against Go Ahead Eagles last November.
Lewis Baker opened the floodgates from the penalty spot in the 45th minute and Nathan completed the scoring ten minutes from time.
Abiola Dauda’s résumé in the Eredivisie includes 7 goals from 12 starts while he has recorded 3 assists.
Last weekend, he netted twice for the reserve team of the Arnhem based club in their 3 - 2 victory over Twente U21s in the Beloften Eredivisie.
