Exclusive : Nigerian Talents Adamu Abubakar And Simon Ado On Their Way To FK Haugesund
Published: August 19, 2015According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com’s editorial staff, two of the hottest prospects in Golden Boot Soccer Academy, Adamu Abubakar and Simon Ado, have agreed terms with Norwegian Tippeligaen side FK Haugesund.
FK Haugesund. have pulled off one of the transfer coups in the ongoing summer transfer market with respect to Nigerian players as Adamu Abubakar was heavily courted by a number of European clubs led by SC Heerenveen.
SC Heerenveen had opened talks with Golden Boot Soccer Academy over the possibility of Abubakar moving to the Abe Lenstra Stadion this summer but their work permit application was unsuccessful, which threw a spanner in the works.
Now all speculation surrounding the future of the highly - rated winger, who trained with the Nigeria Under 23s earlier this year, has ended after he appended his signature to a four - year deal with FK Haugesund.
The 18 - year - old Adamu Abubakar is a pacy winger that operates on the left flank but is also comfortable playing on the right and his playing style has drawn comparisons to Chelsea’s Victor Moses.
In the coming days, Abubakar and defensive midfielder Simon Ado will hop on a plane to Norway to begin their adventure with The Arabs.
The two young players will not have problems adapting to life in Rogaland as Nigeria international William Troost - Ekong and Sadeeq Yusuf are on the books of FKH.
