Compared to their position last month, the Super Eagles remain in the same spot, with a global ranking of 53rd while in the continental ranking they are ninth.
Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal are the best five teams in Africa in that order.
Our rivals to book a qualifying ticket for the 2017 African Cup of Nations- Egypt, Tanzania and Chad - are ranked 49th, 140th and 171st respectively.
South America vice - champions Argentina top the ranking followed by Belgium, Germany, Colombia and Brazil.
