Dekina and Kogi local government teams booked a place in the semifinal of the 2015 Kogi State Governor’s Cup following victories against Okehi and Adavi respectively.

Ape Omatugba’s solitary effort were all Dekina needed to secure passage against a stubborn Okehi team into the semi final stages on Saturday.
Despite narrow loss to Dekina, Special Adviser to Kogi governor for Okehi Local government area, admits his side were unlucky but pledged a come back.
“We (Okehi) won for having come this far. This was Dekina’s day. Expect us, we are coming back stronger next time, ” Ganja said.
But Adavi coach Haruna Habib who lamented his side’s exit at the expense of Kogi blamed their loss on their underutilized scoring opportunities.
“We could’ve win them (Kogi) if we had taken our chances. It is a great experience for us and we’re happy with the fair officiating,” Habib said.
