Henty Ezekiel Hails Olimpija Ljubljana Teamwork After Scoring Fifth League Goal
Published: September 11, 2015
Olimpija Ljubljana are sitting on top of the Slovenian PrvaLiga
standings following their 3 - 1 victory over Krka on Friday evening in
the ninth round.
After a goalless first half, Henty Ezekiel opened the scoring for the visitors 8 minutes out of intermission , the fifth time he has scored in the league this season and this has surpassed his best - ever goal tally in a single - season.
“It was a difficult game but we played very good as a team and we were really patient and finally the goals came, ” Henty Ezekiel told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“The opponents played with five defenders so it was pretty difficult.”
Olimpija Ljubljana finished fourth on the table at the end of the 2014 - 15 season but it has been smooth sailing for coach Marjan Pušnik and his charges this term with six wins on the spin.
“We play better now as a team and the new players who came fitted in well in the team and we have a great coach who has great experience,” added Ezekiel.
Olimpija Ljubljana’s title credentials will be under scrutiny next Saturday when they face nearest challengers Gorica away from home.
