FOSLA Academy, GSS Yangoji Battle For FCT Principal Cup Trophy

FOSLA Academy Karshi and Government Secondary School Yangoji are on the verge of making history in FCT, as the two schools tackle each other in the finals of the maiden edition of the FCT Principals Cup Football Competition.
To qualify for the finals, Government Secondary School Yangoji defeated Government Secondary School Zuba by four goals to one, while FOSLA Academy Karshi white washed Model Secondary School Maitama by six goals to nil.
The finals would be played on Tuesday 3rd November at the Area 10 Old Parade Ground pitch, while the third place match would be between Government Secondary School Zuba and Model Secondary School Maitama.
Various trophies would be won at the event, with the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Eng John Chukwu serving as the Special Guest of Honour.
Trophies would be presented to all the zonal champions which include Government Day Secondary Gwagwalada winners of the
Kuje Zone, Government Secondary School Zuba winners of the Gwagwalada zone, Government Secondary School Yangoji winners of the Kwali Zone, Model Secondary School Maitama winners of the Tudunwada zone, and FOSLA Academy winners of the Karshi zone.
There would also be trophies for the highest goal scorer of the tournament, fair play trophy, best coach of the tournament, most valueable player of the tournament and best goalkeeper of the tournament among others.
The media would not be left out, as trophies would be presented to the best media organization of the competition in the print, radio and television categories.
The competition which started on 12 October, saw the students scoring 185 goals from 48 matches.
