Kingsley Michael Had A Premonition He Would Score Against Brazil
Published: November 02, 2015Abuja Football College product Kingsley Michael has revealed how he scored a similar goal at training 24 hours before the Golden Eaglets faced off against Brazil at the Fifa Under 17 World Cup.
The Nigeria number six put a nail in the Brazilian’s coffin a minute after Victor Osimhen’s opener, when he hit a volley into the roof of the net.
“Scoring against them at the World Cup gives me a special feeling, and the only person on my mind after scoring that goal was our team doctor (Dr. Deji Olarinoye) because he is always pushing me to work harder,” Michael told thenff.com.
“The goal I scored against Brazil on Sunday was more or less the same I scored during our training on Saturday.
“I applied the same technique and I’m happy that we are able to use some of the things taught us by the coaching crew in match situation.”
Michael, who scored against Brazil at the Suwon Tournament, came off the bench in all the three games played by the Golden Eaglets in Group A but has started the two matches in the knock out rounds.
