Ex Algeria Hero, Abdelhafid Tasfaout : Nigeria Have A Concentration Problem
Published: December 04, 2015Retired Algeria international Abdelhafid Tasfaout has admitted that the Nigeria Under 23s are a good side but tend to lose concentration in the second half.
The former Algeria skipper has advised the Algeria Under 23 national team to do everything possible to stop the physical Nigeria side from scoring in the first half.
“Well, Nigeria is a good team that plays good football, but I also noticed they switch off in the second half. I wonder if they have a concentration problem. Is it a team that underestimates the others? ” Tasfaout told lebuteur.com.
“As against Mali, they almost got up, similar to Egypt where they were on the verge of losing, otherwise it must be a concentration problem, because physically, they were able to speed up the game towards the end.
“Against us, it will be a concentration for the whole game, we must not only defend well, but also try to surprise them. ”
In a glorious international career spanning a decade, Abdelhafid Tasfaout featured three times against Nigeria, scoring once in his national team’s 4 - 1 loss to the Super Eagles in a World Cup qualifier played in Lagos on July 3, 1993.
