Former AACC FC striker , Samuel Eyitayo Usman , has expressed his delight at the manner in which he has been treated by Hapoel Nazareth Illit since he penned a deal with the Israeli Liga Leumit side last month.
Aged 18, Usman initially arrived in Israel three months ago and tried his luck at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Acre, Hapoel Rishon LeZion and Maccabi Ironi Kiryat Ata but those teams passed up the opportunity to acquire him due to work permit issues.
“I signed for just a season for the youth team so next season I am moving to the senior side.I haven’t been informed when I am going to make my debut for the senior side but the President wants that, ” Samuel Usman said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I am happy here in this club, they have treated me with care and given me all that I need. I am coping with the language barrier, the captain interprets anything the coach is saying.
“I am targeting to win the league with the club and to be the highest goalscorer of the league, I want the team to be promoted to the Premier League.”
Samuel Eyitayo Usman thinks he is a player with great scoring abilities and has cited Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as his role models.
For the youth team of Hapoel Nazareth Illit, the teenager has been handed the number 24 kit for the remainder of this season.
