Mikel Extends Unbeaten Record Under Hiddink To 26 Games After Starring Against Man United
John Obi Mikel has extended his unbeaten record under Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink to 26 games after lasting the distance as the champions played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in the Premier League.

In Hiddink’s first spell in charge, during the 2008-2009 season, the Super Eagles star featured 17 times for the Londoners, with the team winning 14 and drawing 3.

Mikel has started and completed the last seven matches contested by Chelsea in the Premier League, a sequence that he has not achieved since the 2010-2011 campaign.

Against Manchester United, the defensive midfielder initiated several attacks apart from his primary responsibility of shielding the back four.

Jesse Lingard gave Manchester United the lead in the 61st minute before Spaniard Diego Costa restored parity in the first minute of second-half stoppage time.
