Plateau United Target Stability On Premier League Return
Acting General Manager of Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, side, Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Pius Henwan, is confident the team has all it takes to do well in the 2016 campaign of the League.

Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos where Plateau United are expected to play their home games alongside hometown rivals, Giwa FC, Henwan said he is aware of the enormous challenge ahead of his team as the NPFL is surely different from their Nigeria National League experience.

He however rejected calls from certain stakeholders to overhaul the team, saying the players who got promotion for the team are good enough for the Premier Division but added that the technical department have effected very minor acquisitions in a bid to bolster the squad ahead of the new season.

He further stressed that the major priority of the Plateau State government for now is to sustain the position of the team in the Premier Division but if continental football comes their way they would take it as a special bonus.

Meanwhile, the GM has confirmed to us the appointment of Zachary Baraje as Technical Adviser while National Women’s U-17 Coach, Bala Nikyu and former Adamawa United Manager, Shola Poopo, are to serve as Chief Coach and Assistant. Shehu Lakka is to serve as second assistant alongside SanniAdamu and Sunday Boyi.

The Governor Simon Lalong boys would have their baptism of fire against visiting fellow returnees to the NPFL, Niger Tornadoes Fc of Minna at the Rwang Pam Stadium on Saturday.
