Olufela Olomola Delighted To Make Southampton Bench For Premier League Tie Vs Sunderland
Published: March 07, 2016Olufela Olomola was delighted to be named among the substitutes for Southampton in their Premier League clash against Sunderland on Saturday.
Saints manager Ronald Koeman drafted the 18-year-old into the squad following injuries to first-team strikers Charlie Austin and Shane Long but failed to come off the bench.
“Tough game today a good point in the end buzzing to get on the bench for the first time,I give God the glory #49 , ”Olomola wrote on Twitter after the game at St. Mary’s Stadium.
A product of Arsenal Academy, Olomola joined Southampton in the summer of 2014 after he was courted by West Ham.
The Anglo-Nigerian has recorded six appearances in the U21 Premier League so far this season.
