Eniola Aluko Becomes Tenth Player To Amass 100 Caps For England
Published: March 10, 2016Chelsea striker Eniola Aluko amassed 100 international caps for England Women on Wednesday in their goalless draw with France at the SheBelieves Cup.
With 99 caps under her belt, the Anglo-Nigerian reached the milestone after she stepped out onto the Florida Atlantic University Stadium pitch, replacing Duggan in the 56th minute, and was handed the armband by skipper Steph Houghton.
Eniola Aluko became the tenth player to make 100 international appearances for the England national team .
She was eligible to play for the Super Falcons before committing her international future to England back in 2004 at the age of 17.
Born in Lagos, Aluko starred for Birmingham City Ladies, Charlton Athletic Ladies,Saint Louis Athletica, Atlanta Beat and Sky Blue FC before her move to Chelsea.
