Alli Comes Of Age For England In 3-2 Win Over Germany; Barkley Comes Off Bench
Dele Alli and Ross Barkley featured as England came from behind to beat Germany 3-2 at Olympiastadion Berlin on Saturday night in a high-profile international friendly.

Tottenham Hotspur star Alli had a couple of opportunities to add to his solitary strike for the Three Lions, the first coming in the 17th minute when he tried his luck from 20 yards.

Seven minutes out of intermission, Manuel Neuer saved Alli’s shot from long range and the number ten was denied again in the 69th minute when the Bayern Munich shot-stopper’s leg blocked a goal-bound ball.

With the scoreboard reading 2-1 in favour of the homers, England boss Hodgson introduced Everton midfielder Ross Barkley in the 71st minute.

Alli came close to scoring again in the 84th minute after substitute Vardy squared the ball into the Germany penalty area but he fluffed his lines and shot over the bar.

Toni Kroos and Mario Gomez gave the Germans a two- goal advantage before goals from Kane, Vardy and Dier secured a famous win ahead of this summer’s European Championship.
