Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has expressed his happiness over his nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year award ahead of a gala ceremony in London on Sunday, April 24.

The Three Lions young star has been nominated for the prestigious award alongside teammate Harry Kane, Philippe Coutinho(Liverpool),Romelu Lukaku(Everton),Ross Barkley(Everton) and Jack Butland(Stoke City).

“It’s a great feeling to be nominated,it’s been a fantastic season for the team and for me personally as well,”Alli told Spurs’ official website.

“We have a lot of younger players and to play how we have this season is great credit not just to the team but to the gaffer and the staff here.

“To have a PFA nomination from this team is great news for me. It’s a huge award and a real honour to be nominated and if I was to win it’s another bonus for this season.”

In the Premier League this season, Alli has scored 8 goals in total,notched 11 assists, has a shooting accuracy of 59 percent from 83 shots in 31 appearances.
