Ahmed Musa Reflects On Long Range Strike Vs FK Krasnodar
Published: May 17, 2016CSKA Moscow frontman Ahmed Musa has reflected on his wonder goal against FK Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League on Monday.
The Nigeria international opened scoring in the 17th minute with a long range shot, and has admitted that he was surprised that he scored from that distance.
“I was lucky enough to open scoring . We got three points , the most important thing , ” Musa told sport-express.ru.
“I am very happy to score a stunning goal , I did not expect it! It was a surprise for me . I took the ball and shot on goal - did not expect that it will go in.
“Before the game, he (the coach) cheered me and said that I would score . So I immediately ran up to him and thanked him for the words of support.”
CSKA Moscow will win the Russian Premier League if they beat Rubin Kazan on Saturday in their final game of the season.
