Jos-based agent Babawo Mohammed has confirmed that Victor Osimhen’s agent Shira Yusuf sponsored the trip of Nigeria U17s coach Manu Garba to Lagos before the start of the Golden Eaglets screening.
Babawo, who has been implicated for influencing the invitation of players to the national youth teams, acknowledged that Shira paid the hotel bills of Manu during his stay in Lagos but denied that his client received financial inducement from the intermediary.
“People brought their bad players and maybe they were dropped and they went ahead with the information, ” Babawo Mohammed told allnigeriasoccer.com.
