FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Kano Pillars Amongst Clubs Keen On Ex-Everton Star Yobo
The League Management Company has officially announced that former Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo can continue his career in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Now 35, the defensive all-rounder has not played competitively since he took to the Estádio Nacional de Brasília turf in the Super Eagles 2-0 loss to France on June 30, 2014 in the second round of the World Cup.

Yobo will be assigned to a club under the NPFL Elite Players Scheme which Sani Kaita benefited from two seasons ago, and will play 12 games in the league all things being equal.

Akwa Utd, FC Ifeanyiubah, Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists are in the running for the signature of the veteran stopper.

The defender did not play for any topflight club in Nigeria before transferring to Standard Liege in 1998.

Joseph Yobo also featured for Marseille, Everton, Fenerbahce and Norwich City.
