Young Nigerian Defender Pleased To Learn His Craft From Arsenal Stars Koscielny, Mustafi

Nigerian defender Tobi Omole has nothing but praise for Arsenal central defenders Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi, and is pleased to learn his craft from the experienced stoppers.

The 16-year-old was particularly impressed with the France and German international for helping Petr �ech post a shutout in the Gunners 3-0 rout of Chelsea on September 24, with the physical Diego Costa rendered ineffective.

“The way that Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi dealt with him (Diego Costa) was fantastic, ” Omole told Arsenal Matchday Programme ahead of last weekend’s fixture against Swansea City.

“They used intelligent aggression and frustrated him out of the game. It’s ideal for me to me to have those guys to learn from.

“I knew a bit about Mustafi before he arrived and always thought he was a good player, but he has settled in so well it looks like he has been with us for years. ”

Omole was spotted by Arsenal whilst playing for Thamesmead and first represented their youth team in the U14 category.
