Published: November 06, 2016Two players of Nigerian descent could figure in the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi is certain to step out onto the Emirates Stadium from the first minute, having made the starting XI.
England U20 star Josh Onomah, who is wearing the number 25 jersey made famous in Nigeria by ex-Gunners hero Nwankwo Kanu, has been named on the bench, while Chuba Akpom has not been selected by Arsenal.
This is Iwobi’s first ever appearance for Arsenal against Spurs, having made the bench for the clash at the Emirates last season and was not selected for the reverse fixture at White Hart Lane, while he was a non-playing substitute in the League Cup in September 2015.
