Cameroon FA, Coach Hugo Broos : We Must Beat Nigeria Home And Away To Qualify For Russia 2018

The Cameroon Football Federation are not satisfied with the 1-1 draw the Indomitable Lions played against Zambia on match day two in the World Cup qualifiers, and have targeted two wins against Nigeria to stand a chance of qualifying for the tournament in Russia.
Cameroon began the qualifying campaign with a 1-1 draw at Algeria before they needed a penalty converted by Vincent Aboubakar just before half time to clinch another draw with Zambia, which compromised their chances of qualifying.
“In order to maintain a positive record on the performances of our various national teams, only one goal is needed: to shine in Gabon and to win both matches against Nigeria, ” Fécafoot stated in a press release.
“Despite the timorous performance today against Zambia, senior LIC are fully aware of the issues and their determination will lead them to victory.”
Coach Hugo Broos added : “Before this match, we already knew that the matches against Nigeria will be decisive.
“We will have to win to have another chance to go to the World Cup. We have eight months to prepare.”
Cameroon have qualified for the World Cup seven times , and were the first African country to reach the quarterfinals in 1990.
