Nigerian Talent Umerah Scores Stunning 30-Yard Goal As Charlton Beat Ipswich Town In PDL
Published: November 14, 2016
Nigerian striker Josh Umerah scored twice as Charlton Athletic claimed a 4-2 win over Ipswich Town in a Professional Development League 2 South game staged at Playford Road on Monday afternoon.
Named in the starting XI along with midfielder Joe Aribo, Umerah restored parity for the Addicks in the first half almost immediately after the Tractor Boys netted the opening goal.
With Ipswich Town threatening a comeback, Umerah extinguished their hopes when he made it 4-2, rattling the ball into the top corner from 30 yards for his second goal of the afternoon.
Kennedy and Hackett-Fairchild also registered their names on the scorecard for Charlton, while Luke Woolfenden and Kundai Benyu were on target for the Suffolk based team.
