Watford Provide Update On Injury Status Of Two Nigerian Strikers
Published: November 18, 2016Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has confirmed that ex-Nigeria U20 international Isaac Success will not take part in the Premier League clash against Leicester City as he has not recovered from injury.
But there is positive news regarding Italy international of Nigerian descent Stefano Okaka , who has been out of action since September due to a hamstring complaint.
“Prödl will be back, and Okaka should be available, ” Mazzarri told reporters, according to watfordfc.com.
“We still need to understand how his (Okaka’s) condition is at the moment, but he should be available at least from the bench.”
Despite doubts surrounding whether Okaka would get game time and Success entirely ruled out, two Super Eagles stars in the shape of Odion Ighalo (Watford) and Ahmed Musa (Leicester City) are expected to be on parade at The Vic.
Both strikers have started the last three games contested by the respective teams in the English top-flight.
