Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu’s goal against Belgium at Euro 2016 has been nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award 2016 , an award for the best goal scored in 2016.

The West Brom striker’s stunning Cruyff turn and cool finish was among the ten candidates when Fifa announced the shortlist via their official website on Monday, November 21.

Mario Gaspar, Hlompho Kekana, Marlone, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Saúl ñíguez, Daniuska Rodríguez, Simon Skrabb and Mohd Faiz Subri are the other players in the running for the award.

Super Eagles stars Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa who scored more than ten goals for their clubs last season were not considered worthy of inclusion.

The winner of the award, which is decided by the public, will be announced at The Best FIFA Football Awards™, to be held on 9 January 2017 in Zurich.

Hal Robson-Kanu was born in London 27 years ago and was eligible to represent Nigeria before he made his competitive debut for Wales.
