Tesho Akindele Nominated For Canada Player Of The Year
FC Dallas striker Tesho Akindele has been nominated for Canada Soccer Men’s Player of the Year, writes the official website of Canadian Soccer Association.

The Calgary-born player made the twelve-man shortlist alongside Scott Arfield (Burnley), Patrice Bernier (Impact Montréal FC ), Milan Borjan (PFK Ludogorets Razgrad), Marcel de Jong (Vancouver Whitecaps ) and David Edgar (Sheffield United).

Other nominees include : David Junior Hoilett, Atiba Hutchinson, Cyle Larin, Adam Straith , Jonathan Osorio and Tosaint Ricketts.

Akindele was the only player of Nigerian descent nominated for an award, with Brighton & Hove Albion defender Sam Adekugbe missing out.

The 24-year-old has played 13 times for the Canadian national team, scoring two goals against Dominica and Azerbaijan.
