Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the English Premier League on Saturday.

In the early kickoff at the Etihad Stadium, Chelsea beat Man City 3-1, with Victor Moses named in the starting XI for the eighth game in a row. City number 72 Kelechi Iheanacho came on with 12 minutes remaining.

While Moses played the full game, teammate Ola Aina watched proceedings from the bench and Obi Mikel was missing yet again. Tosin Adarabioyo wasn’t involved for the Citizens.

Over to Selhurst Park (London), Olufela Olomola was missing from the Southampton squad that lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace.

Victor Anichebe put in a full shift as Sunderland beat champions Leicester City 2-1. Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa came off the bench in the 73rd minute.

Black Cats youngsters Joel Asoro and Josh Maja were not on parade at the Stadium of Light.

At White Hart Lane, Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways courtesy of their 5-0 thrashing of Swansea City. Three Lions star Dele Alli started and completed the game, Josh Onomah hopped off the bench with three minutes left.

Hal Robson-Kanu (West Brom) and Odion Ighalo (Watford) were introduced in the 88th and 77th minute respectively as the Baggies beat the visitors 3-1 at The Hawthorns.

Former Flying Eagles star Isaac Success was not fit enough to be handed game time and remained on the bench for the entirety of the contest. On his full debut, Italy international Stefano Okaka was replaced in the 90th minute.
