Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

We start off at Old Trafford where Manchester United took on Watford. The Red Devils went 16 games unbeaten after a 2-0 win over Watford.

The young Nigerian forward Isaac Success tasted action in the last seven minutes, nine less that Italy striker Stefano Okaka, who came off the bench as well for the Hornets.

It finished goalless between Middlesbrough and Everton at the Riverside Stadium. England U20 star Ademola Lookman was handed his second start and was on the pitch for 73 minutes.

Over to the Stadium of Light, Southampton returned to winning ways with a 4-0 hammering of Sunderland. No player of Nigerian descent featured in this one.

Black Cats striker Victor Anichebe is injured, young duo Josh Maja and Joel Asoro didn’t make the squad and ex-Arsenal youth-teamer Olufela Olomola was absent for the Saints.

There was late drama at the London Stadium, as a late goal handed West Brom a share of the spoils against West Ham.

Hammers defender Angelo Ogbonna sat out of the game due to injury. Perennial substitute Hal Robson-Kanu entered into the fray for West Brom in the 67th minute.
2-2 it finished.

Alex Iwobi started and played 82 minutes of Arsenal
’s 2-0 win over Hull City at the Emirates Stadium. Moses Odubajo is still undergoing rehab and missed out for the Tigers.

In the late kickoff, Premier League POTM Dele Alli starts for Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield against Liverpool, teammate Josh Onomah has not been selected.

The Reds youngsters Sheyi Ojo and injured midfielder Ovie Ejaria are not in the 18-man squad.
