Leicester Star Musa Writes Off Millwall : They Scored With Their Only Chance
Published: February 19, 2017Ahmed Musa was disappointed in the wake of Leicester City’s elimination from the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, and has stressed that the Premier League champions controlled large spells in the game but were unlucky to lose.
The Nigeria international has admitted that his teammates and manager Claudio Ranieri cut forlorn figures as they stepped into the dressing room at the end of the contest at The Den.
“Everybody in the team, we are so angry, we are so upset. We had the confidence that we are going to win the game because we played very well, ” Musa told LCFC TV.
“But at the end of the ninety minutes they just had only one chance and scored a goal.
“It was a very difficult game for us and everybody- the manager, the boys - is upset in the dressing room.”
Musa was one of the most impressive Leicester City players, especially in the first half, but was unfortunate not to add to his tally in the FA Cup.
“We are unlucky today. In the first half we could have scored almost 3-0. We are unlucky today, that is football, ” the Leicester City number seven concluded.
Next up for Ahmed Musa and his Leicester City teammates is a trip to Spain, where they face Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday.
