Leicester City Fans Disagree With BBC As Vardy Picks Up MOTM Award Ahead Of Ndidi
Published: February 28, 2017Jamie Vardy has been officially named Man of the Match in Leicester City’s shock 3-1 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday night.
Three other players were in contention for the accolade : Wilfred Ndidi, Danny Drinkwater and Christian Fuchs.
In a poll created on the Foxes official Twitter page, the England international striker received 49 percent of the votes ahead of Ndidi who finished second with 34 percent.
While the fans voted Vardy as their top dog against the Reds at the King Power Stadium, the experts at BBC Radio Leicester chose Wilfred Ndidi as the most outstanding player and named him Man of the Match.
The Super Eagles midfielder made eleven tackles against Liverpool, three less than Chelsea star N’Golo Kante, who holds the record for the highest tackles in a Premier League match this season.
