Osayi-Samuel Wins Blackpool MOTM Award After Netting First Career Brace
Published: March 21, 2017Young winger Bright Osayi-Samuel tallied his third and fourth goals of the season in all competitions in Blackpool’s 3-1 win at Newport County on Saturday afternoon.
That was the first time the Nigerian-born talent managed to score more than one goal in a competitive fixture since making his senior debut two years ago against Sheffield Wednesday.
Osayi-Samuel was named Blackpool’s social media Man of the Match against Newport County after all votes were tallied, with 73 percent of the fans voting for him.
Apart from netting a brace, he won the penalty which was converted by Mark Cullen in the 68th minute.
The 19-year-old is being monitored by the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland, Brighton and Aston Villa ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.
