Brown Ideye On Target For Tianjin Teda After Food Poisoning Scandal
Published: May 21, 2017Experienced Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye found the net for Tianjin Teda in their 1-1 draw with Odion Ighalo's Changchun Yatai on Sunday.
There was a scandal before the game, with the visitors from Mainland China complaining that several of their players suffered physical discomfort on Saturday as a result of food poisoning symptoms, which is due to the food they ate at Shangri-La Hotel.
One minute into the second half, Ideye equalized for Tianjin Teda with a volleyed acrobatic effort in the six-yard box.
It was his second goal in the colours of Tianjin Teda after firing blanks in his last three games before today's clash at the Development Area Stadium.
Another Nigeria international striker Obafemi Martins netted a consolation for Shanghai Shenhua in their 3-1 loss to Shanghai SIPG FC on Saturday.
