Omeruo In Conte's Good Books But Will Miss Chelsea's Asia Tour Due To Visa Hitch
Published: July 16, 2017Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo is in Antonio Conte's good books but the Italian manager will leave him out of his squad for the tour of China and Singapore due to a visa hitch.
The central defender has been training with the Blues first team since the start of pre-season training, and even captained a Chelsea XI on Saturday in their 1-1 draw with Crawley Town.
''Chelsea coach Conte had considered him for the pre-season tour of China and Singapore, but he can't get the visas within a week, so he's not traveling with the team,'' a Chelsea insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''There's a possibility that he will be loaned out again by Chelsea, talks are in progress.''
Omeruo has yet to make his competitive debut for Chelsea, and has been farmed out on loan to ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasımpaşa and Alanyaspor in the last five years.
Super Eagles striker Victor Moses and England U20 international Fikayo Tomori are in line to be included in the Blues traveling party to Asia.
