Nigerian-Born Defenders Stop Chelsea's Abraham From Scoring In Swansea's Latest Friendly
England U21 sensation Tammy Abraham played his second game in a Swansea City shirt on Sunday, but failed to find the back of the net as the Swans battled to a goalless draw with North Carolina FC in a pre-season friendly at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.

Nigerian-born defenders Christian Ibeagha and Bolu Akinyode came on for the American team before the second half started, while the Chelsea loanee earned his first start for the Premier League club and was in action for 67 minutes.

The two defenders put up an impressive defensive display to stop Swansea City from scoring for the first time on American soil this pre-season.

Carroll had fired Abraham's cross over the bar, before the Young Lions star created another goal-scoring opportunity which was missed by Jordan Ayew in the 19th minute.

The 19-year-old Abraham, who is spending the whole of next season at Swansea on loan from Chelsea, netted on his unofficial debut for the Welsh club in their 2-1 win over Richmond Kickers.

Swansea City have concluded their American tour and will face Viv Solomon-Otabor's Birmingham City at St Andrew's in their next friendly on Saturday.
