Nigerian Striker On Target, Wins Penalty As Man Utd Qualify For SuperCupNI Globe Final
Published: July 27, 2017The promising Nigerian striker Ademipo Odubeko was on target as Manchester United beat Co Armagh 1-0 at Showgrounds, Coleraine to qualify for the final of the SuperCupNI Globe on Thursday evening.
The Republic of Ireland U15 international has been playing so well in the ongoing competition in Northern Ireland, with his strike against Co Armagh his third goal in four matches.
Odubeko, who was named in the starting line-up along with Shola Shoretire, scored what proved the game-winner in the first half.
And the Red Devils would have been two goals up heading into the interval, but Teden Mengi was denied from the penalty spot after the goalkeeper had fouled Odubeko in the 18-yard box.
Odubeko bagged a brace in Manchester United's impressive 4-2 victory over Co Fermanagh on Tuesday.
The talented striker put in a full shift, Shoretire who impressed as well subbed out with three minutes remaining, Ayodeji Sotona was a non-playing substitute.
