Published: August 17, 2017
Chelsea have bolstered their U18 squad with the capture of the signatures of three exciting youngsters.
Chelsea TV have announced that The Blues have handed short-term academy scholarship contracts to three non-league prospects : Renedi Masampu, Adebambo Akinjogbin and Tushaun Walters.
Adebambo Akinjogbin, who is of Nigerian descent, impressed the coaching staff at the academy during trials along with the other two new recruits.
The winger was previously with the youth team of Brentford and has also worn the jersey of Abbey Rangers.
The 17-year-old Akinjogbin was called up to the England Independent Schools U17 squad for their friendly against Scotland Independent Schools U18s in April 2017.
He scored in pre-season friendlies for Chelsea U18s and was a non-playing substitute in last weekend's 2-0 win at Aston Villa on the opening day of the season.
