Much Ado About Nothing : V. Moses, Musa Dismiss Rumours Of Rift With Pinnick
Published: September 05, 2017The social media was awash with a video that was beamed by popular Satellite TV, Super Sports before the Super Eagles drew 1-1 with Cameroon in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Monday night.
Although the three-time African Cup of Nations champions are one foot away from qualifying for the Mundial, a lot was made out of the footage.
Chelsea right wing-back Victor Moses and Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa were caught shunning Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Melvin Pinnick Amaju as the team alighted from the plane after a short trip from Uyo to Yaounde for the
cracker.
The big names in the team were captured shaking the hands of the NFF boss but the duo stylishly avoided the overtures of the administrator.
In an attempt to cover up for the embarrassment the former Delta State Sports Commission boss left the line to step aside.
The report was shelved aside with another video showing Pinnick with the two players apparently in a happy mood.
A day after the initial incident, Moses was in brilliant form against the African champions, while Ahmed Musa was an unused substitute after coming off the bench in the first leg in Uyo.
