Chelsea Vs Arsenal Team News : Moses & Iwobi Start, Akpom Not In 18
Published: September 17, 2017Managers Antonio Conte and Arsene Wenger have announced their starting line-ups for the eagerly anticipated Premier League meeting between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
As previously speculated by allnigeriasoccer.com, Super Eagles target Chuba Akpom has failed to make Arsenal's 18-man squad but there is room for his good pal Alex Iwobi, who starts his first game of the new season.
As for Chelsea, Victor Moses makes his return to the starting XI after he was benched against Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday, and this ends speculation that the Super Eagles star is playing second fiddle to Italy national-teamer Davide Zappacosta.
Including July's friendly in China, Moses had started Chelsea's last four fixtures against the Gunners prior to today's game.
In the provisional standings, Chelsea are four points adrift of Manchester City, while Arsenal are seven points behind the Citizens.
Chelsea Starting XI : Courtois, Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill, Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso, Willian, Morata, Pedro
Substitutes : Caballero, Christensen, Rudiger, Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Hazard, Batshuayi
Arsenal Starting XI : Cech, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Kolasinac, Iwobi, Welbeck, Lacazette
Substitutes : Ospina, Mertesacker, Sanchez, Giroud, Walcott, Maitland-Niles, Elneny
