FC Midtjylland's Onuachu Scores Second Hat-Trick, Onyeka Nets On Debut
Published: September 20, 2017FC Midtjylland striker Paul Onuachu bagged a hat-trick in his side's 7-0 demolition of 2nd Division club Greve IF in the DBU Pokalen on Wednesday evening.
This is the second time this season that the FC Ebedei product has found the net three times in one game, having first achieved the feat on July 6 in a Europa League qualifier against Derry City at The Showgrounds.
In Onuachu's first start for FCM after an appendectomy, he struck in the 27th, 61st and 65th minute to take his tally for the season to 12 goals in all competitions.
Manager Jess Thorup deployed a 3-4-3 formation, with Onuachi leading the attack and Rilwan Hassan operating as a right winger and the two Nigerians combined for FCM's second goal.
On his debut for the Jutland based club, Frank Onyeka scored in the 71st minute, five minutes after he came off the bench.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder joined FC Midtjylland in 2016 from partner club FC Ebedei.
