(Photo) Zambia National Team Jet Out To Ghana For Four-Day Training Camp
Published: October 01, 2017The Zambian national team jetted out to the Ghanaian capital on Sunday morning ahead of their World Cup qualifier against three-time African champions Nigeria next weekend in Uyo.
According to a press release by the Football Association of Zambia, Coach Wedson Nyirenda travelled in the first batch that had six players and some technical staff at 06:30 hours with the second batch on the 13:00 hours South African Airways flight.
The invited foreign-based professionals are expected to arrive in Accra as from Sunday after featuring for their clubs.
Meanwhile, the Zambia delegation will now arrive in Uyo on Thursday, two days before the big match against Nigeria.
Whilst Zambia are hoping to qualify for their first World Cup, their next opponents Nigeria are aiming for their sixth appearance in the most prestigious football tournament in the world.
After four rounds of matches in Group B, the Super Eagles lead the way with ten points followed by the Copper Bullets who have amassed seven points.
