Published: October 01, 2017One-cap Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru netted a crucial goal for Anderlecht as they claimed a 1-0 win over Standard Liege in the Belgian First Division A on Sunday, October 1.
The Everton loanee's strike at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in the 89th minute took his tally for the season to five goals across all competitions.
The match day nine fixture was heading for a draw when Onyekuru planted a header past goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and the delighted striker was later booked for taking off his shirt.
Standard Liege defender Uche Agbo, who is expected to report for international duty as from Monday, logged ninety minutes and received his fourth consecutive caution on 49 minutes.
Over to the Norwegian top-flight, Manchester City loanee Chidiebere Nwakali is beginning to establish a reputation as a long-range shooter, after scoring from 25 meters as Sogndal were held to a 2-2 draw by Molde at Fosshaugane Campus.
On the flip side, Sogndal are only two points above the drop zone with only six rounds left in the Eliteserien.
