Victor Moses, Wilfred Ndidi Transfer Fees Go Up, Make Top 100 List
Published: October 02, 2017The performances of Victor Moses and Wilfred Ndidi for Chelsea and Leicester City respectively have seen their transfer fees increase.
According to football statisticians, CIES Football Observatory, Ndidi is the Nigerian player with the highest increase in transfer fee, having clocked in at number 40, ahead of Moses who is 86th on the list.
At the opening of the summer transfer window, Leicester City midfielder Ndidi's transfer fee equated to €39.8 million, and clubs are expected to pay €54.6 million to secure his signature, with effect from October 1, 2017.
Chelsea right wing-back Moses was valued at €28.7 million this summer and his transfer fee has risen by €9.5 million euros.
Beyond inflation, expensive transfers to other teams, contract extensions and top level performances are the key reasons underlying the strongest increases observed.
