Moses Simon : We Know The Importance Of Qualifying For The World Cup
Published: October 04, 2017Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is fully aware of the importance of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria's bid to reach a sixth Fifa World Cup in seven tournaments will be seriously tested on Saturday when the Super Eagles face off with the Copper Bullets at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
With two rounds to be decided, the three-time African champions will have a guaranteed berth at the World Cup if they beat Zambia on Saturday, but things can change if they lose the match.
''Victory is what everyone needs on Saturday. We know the importance of qualifying for the World Cup, so my colleagues and I will push everything we have in us to get the result,'' Moses Simon told the Nigeria Football Federation.
Moses has played a key role for the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifiers, starting both games against Swaziland in the second round, plus the two matches against Cameroon and Zambia.
The 22-year-old contributed to two of the five goals scored by Nigeria against Cameroon in September.
