U20 World Cup Star Sakala Returns, Sunzu Starts As Zambia Name Starting XI Vs Nigeria
Published: October 07, 2017Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda has named his starting eleven to face Nigeria in a crucial World Cup qualifier on Saturday evening in Uyo, with Spartak Moscow sensation Fashion Sakala returning to the line-up.
The 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup star was absent when the Copper Bullets beat Algeria 1-0 on September 5 because he was ineligible to be fielded after he was red carded against the North Africans three days earlier.
As expected, Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene will skipper the side and starts in goal.
Ziyo Tembo and Stoppilla Sunzu will partner at the heart of defence, while Simon Silwimba and Fackson Kapumbu are the wing-backs.
Enock Mwepu (FC Liefering), Kondwani Mtonga (Zesco United) and Chisamba Lungu (Alanyaspor) will operate in midfield.
Sakala, Alex N'gonga and Augustine Mulenga start in attack.
