Super Eagles Midfielder Dispels Injury Fears Ahead Of WCQ Vs Algeria
Published: October 20, 2017Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder John Ogu has dispelled concerns about his fitness, ahead of Nigeria's World Cup qualifier against Algeria on November 10.
The number 30 subbed out on the half-hour mark in Thursday night's Europa League clash between the Israeli champions and Steaua Bucharest after picking up an injury, but claims to have overcome the pain he felt.
Ogu felt pain in the quadriceps in the 23rd minute and played through the pain barrier for seven minutes before signalling to the bench that he should be substituted.
