Eddy Onazi proved his injury worries are behind him, having put in a full shift in Trabzonspor's 6-0 hammering of
çorum Belediyespor in the Turkish Cup. The Super Eagles star scored in the 74th minute.

Versatile Russian-Nigerian defender Brian Idowu opened his account for the season in Amkar Perm's shootout win over Rostov in the Russian Cup. He opened the scoring in the 19th minute and was substituted after 93 minutes.

Super Eagles midfielder Fegor Ogude, who played the full game, converted his spot kick during the shootout. He had been on the sidelines for most part of this season due to a cervical spine injury.
