Nigerian Defender Likened To Cafu Will Not Face Chelsea In Champions League

It is confirmed that promising Nigerian defender Nura Abdullahi will not make his Champions League debut when AS Roma host Chelsea at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday night.

Through their official website, Roma have announced that the Football College Abuja product did not make the 19-man squad available to manager Eusebio Di Francesco for selection.

Brazilian Bruno Peres, Italy international Alessandro Florenzi and Dutch national teamer Rick Karsdorp are ahead of Abdullahi in the pecking order of right backs at the Giallorossi.

Since returning from injury this month, the Nigerian starlet, who has been likened to Cafu by his minders, has been omitted from Roma's match day squad in their last four games in all competitions.

There won't be any Nigerian involvement tonight, with Super Eagles star Victor Moses not in Chelsea's traveling party to the Italian capital due to a hamstring injury he sustained against Crystal Palace.
