African Footballer Of The Year: Important Super Eagles Player Campaigning For Victor Moses
Published: November 13, 2017Mainz defender Leon Balogun has urged absolute support for Super Eagles and Chelsea star Victor Moses in the race for the 2017 BBC African Footballer of the Year award.
Moses is competing alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah for the prestigious award.
And Balogun who was captain for the Super Eagles against the Fennecs of Algeria last Friday has called on Nigerians to vote for the Chelsea wing back.
"Nigeria, it’s time to vote. This award can only go to our brother and outstanding baller @VictorMoses," the central defender wrote on his official Twitter handle @LeonBalogun.
"No excuses! Make sure he gets what he deserves - African Footballer of the Year 2017 must be our very own."
The winner of this year's award will be announced on Monday 11 December, live on BBC World TV and BBC World Service Radio, starting from 17:35 GMT.
