Super Eagles Late For Training Ahead Of Showdown Vs Argentina
Published: November 14, 2017The Super Eagles players were late for their final workout held at the Krasnodar Stadium ahead of Tuesday evening's showcase friendly with two-time world champions Argentina, as per reports.
According to Ria Sports, the Nigerian National Team were held up in traffic for about an hour, which delayed the start of the official events on the eve of their friendly with the South Americans.
The pre-match press conference was supposed to start at 1800 hours Moscow time, which is 1600 hours in Nigeria, while their training session was at 1830 hours (1630 hours Nigeria time), but the events did not start as scheduled due to the traffic gridlock in Krasnodar on Monday evening.
The press conference was attended by coach Gernot Rohr and the German nominated skipper John Obi Mikel and Amkar Perm newcomer Brian Idowu to accompany him for the meeting with reporters.
The Argentina-Nigeria international friendly kicks off at 1930 hours local time (1730 hours Nigerian Time) today at the very impressive Krasnodar stadium.
Twenty four thousand tickets had been sold as at Monday, November 13.
