New Mikel Outshines Okocha: Scores & Provides Assist As Chelsea Thrash West Ham U18s 7-0
Published: November 25, 2017Chelsea extended their unbeaten home record at U18 level to 46 matches in all competitions following their 7-0 hammering of West Ham United in a London derby staged at Cobham Training Center on Saturday.
England youth internationals of Nigerian descent Faustino Anjorin and Tariq Uwakwe started for the Young Blues and Josh Okocha made the Hammers U18 starting XI, four days after his competitive debut for the U23s in the Premier League International Cup.
By the 45th minute, Chelsea were four goals to the good thanks to goals from Russell, Guehi, Mola and Uwakwe's first of the season.
England U17 World Cup-winning defender Guehi doubled Chelsea's advantage after he was teed up by Uwakwe in the 25th minute.
Charlie Brown, who replaced Uwakwe at half-time, netted a hat-trick in the second half as Chelsea ran out comfortable winners
Chelsea have now collected 15 points from their first five home fixtures in the U18 Premier League this season.
